My cousin's wedding.  He's a good looking dude. I hadn't seen him in a looonngggg time...
My camera is bad. I need a new one. So the pictures aren't very good :(

They went to Thailand for their honeymoon. Korean weddings are so busy!
You have to greet the visitors, get married, do 폐백, find some time to eat, and then you usually
run to the airport for your honeymoon all within a few hours! So busy!

Long Time, No See

Here are some pics from my travels to HONG KONG and MACAU....

I went with my friend Jennifer. She's Korean Canadian, a teacher here in Ganghwa like me. We became good friends, and now she's leaving to finish her last year of college at University of Toronto. Traveling is always always more fun with good people!

This is Repulse Bay... The only really decent beach in HK...

The next few pics are from Victoria Harbor, which is basically what the city of HK is basically made up of.

The city street life....

This is the Star Street.. or the equivalent of the Hollywood stars... whatever... I'm not sure what the real thing is in LA... but we're pressing our hands into Jackie Chan's.... haha... We didn't really know any of ther other actors....

Dinner time at a restaurant on the harbor front...

Taxis are cool. The handle is on the right side... so it's strange, and even more strange is that people drive on the left side of the road....  Our taxi driver is NOT photogenic... hehe

This is us on a ferry to Macau.... it took about an hour, and the ride began pleasant, as you can see before we started moving....... but I am not a fan of boats, so it was a battle to keep my stomach in check..... :(

This is at the MGM Casino atrium.... Didn't do any gambling.... but the views were nice....

This is at the Venetian Casino. Inside there are streams for gondolas to travel around.... kind of crazy cool! Did you watch 꽃보다 남자? This casino is where they filmed!

This is our last day at some crazy temple in the middle of the city. It was soooooooooooooooooooo hot that day.

That's all. It's been a hard and long semester, but it was finally nice to jet off for a vacation. I can honestly say however, that I don't think I'll ever return to any part of China unless it's to see the Great Wall or mayyyybbeee... Beijing or maaayyyyyybbeeee.. Hai-nan....

I hope to be more diligent at posting more often. But  ya know.. once you settle into life elsewhere... it's not all that different from the life you left behind. I just work, eat, sleep, drive around, exercise.... blah blah... same as I would as if I were home. Or maybe it's just cuz I was OVERWORKED during the school semester and now that it's vacation time, I finally have a chance to remember who I am. haha... anyways.....

Hope you are all well! Miss YOU!

Spring time in Korea is utterly beautiful. The weather is perfect. Slight cool breeze but warm sun and longer days. It's absolutely a gorgeous time. And the added loveliness of cherry blossoms is a highlight every spring.

Yesterday, I went to 고려산 in my lovely hometown of Ganghwa. On Wednesday it rained, so yesterday it was a super clear, bright blue day, and we climbed up the small mountain... but felt like we were climbing a big mountain... anyways.... We were trying to find a pink mountain flower/bush called 진달래.  While ascending.... we saw a few little sprigs of the pink flowers here and there... but as we finally reached the top of the mountain... we came upon this sight:

The picture hardly shows the beauty the sight. It was like... God had shown His love on this spot on the top of the mountain. Only this part of the mountain had these flowers on it. It was really breathtaking... The natural beauty of Korea has really taken a hold of me.

MY *NEW*/OLD CAR... hehe.

Yes, It's kind of old... '99 Hyundai Tiburon, but still in good shape.
It's pretty similar to my car back home, so driving around isn't
too different. Runs well, new belts, oil, tires, funky blue interior
lights... NO it's not a stick...

SO yea... I'm pretty lucky. It was a good price for everything
including all the new stuff plus insurance. I'm really thankful that
I have a car in Korea. It's still kind of hard to believe.... It's the first
major purchase that I've made for myself wholly funded by myself.
So it's kind of hard to believe that I'm at this point in my life where
I make enough money to buy such things....

I basically bought myself Freedom since I can go wherever I want,
whenever I want and not have to take the bus....
It's kind of special...  it means a lot more than just a car, ya know?
